14 Dead in Batman Screening Shooting | Aurora

President Obama is “shocked and saddened” by the shooting at the Batman movie premiere in Aurora, Colorado, in which 14 people were killed and 50 wounded.

“We will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time. As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as o

ne American family,” said Obama in a statement.

“All of us must have the people of Aurora in our thoughts and prayers as they confront the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, and we must stand together with them in the challenging hours and days to come,” said Obama, promising he would do everything in his power to bring those responsible to justice.

“We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded,” said Obama.

The scene of the shooting has been described as “chaos” by witnesses, as the gunman burst into the cinema and started shooting at people, killing 10 on the spot. Four more people were later proclaimed dead at the hospital, and 50 were wounded.

One suspect is in custody, but the police hasn’t released any details about his identity.

Scam 419: How to deal with Scam Emails!

I am sure i am not the only one who receives scam emails in my inbox everyday. I think i get almost 20 emails everyday claiming that i have won a UK lottery. Its really not cool, i find it just very irritating, at times i even reply to these emails venting out. But at the end of the day i just realize that this scammer might just move my email to spam or give it to his other friend.

You often find that these emails are all the same, at times they do not have content, probably just a link or an attachment. Back in 2003 i got an email from "An old lady" dying with cancer and she wanted to live all her wealth to me because "god" had told her to leave the wealth to me. This was the opening caption in the email:

"I CRAVE YOUR INDULGENCE TO READ THIS MAIL.

Greetings in the name of God, Please let this not sound strange to you. I prayed and got you email id from your country chambers of commerce which i have been with my late husband and liked to visit once more if God will in his infinite mercies."

Just went back into my email box and extrected this:

The information's are below I am giving
and releasing this vital and secret information's of mine to you with
trust and confidence because I have gotten you as my next of kin to do
this faithful work for God and subsequently to Human.

Secret Question: Who is Depositor
Answer:Mrs. Shannon Miller

I was very excited and i replied to all "her" emails, i would sulk if i didn't get any emails from her, i sent through my ID number and everything that she needed, but i am sure i didn't fit the criteria, because my bank account had no money and i was still very young at that time.

OK are some few tips:

1. Never reply to a scam email or click on a link within the email.

2. It will ask for your username and password

3. The use of English may be suspiciously poor, with frequent spelling and grammatical mistakes.

4. It will often have very general details, for example "Dear Webmail user" or "Greetings".

5. It is best to delete spam before even opening the email. If you do open the email, delete soon after figuring out it is spam.

6. NEVER give out personal information over email or on a Web site! This is a perfect way for spammers to steal your identity and really cause you a lot of headaches.

7.Do not reply to anyone who has sent you email spam. Even if you know that is what it is and you want to yell, scream and complain that they are filling up your mailbox with junk, they won't care. They have already gotten you, since by replying you have told them your email is a valid one.

Face to Face : Businessman vs Entrepreneur.

The other day i was chatting to my fiance she suddenly said "Businessmen like you", it pained me because i kind of considered myself an entrepreneur. So instead of arguing i took down my note pad and and pen and asked her if she could write characteristics of a Businessman and i would also reciprocate by writing down characteristics of an entrepreneur.

We sat down for almost and hour scribbling and noting down facts, we were going to have a debate in the house, between me and her, and well the judge was going to be the one who has the last word and who doesn't repeat points or facts as we called them. All i can say is, it was a really interesting and heated debate. We were both astonished by what we then researched about, here is a few of stuff that can help us differentiate a businessman to an entrepreneur.

Facebook Scoops Up Face.com For $55-60M To Bolster Its Facial Recognition Tech

After about a month of speculation, Facebook has finally announced its acquisition of Israeli facial recognition technology Face.com.

We’ve heard from multiple sources that the acquisition price was around $100m, with others reporting that the price was between $80m-$100m. (Update: We’re now hearing from a source familiar with the matter that the price was between $55 and $60 million, and that it was a mix of cash and stock. The exact value of the deal will be changing depending on the price of Facebook’s stock.) This is absolutely not an acqui-hire, as Facebook will be taking full advantage of the company’s technology and the advancements it’s made on mobile — perhaps to finally include mobile tagging options for photos.

As Face.com’s speciality is mobile facial recogition, it could potentially allow you to upload a photo to Facebook while on the go, instantly receive suggestions of whom to tag, and confirm the tags with one click.

This is important to Facebook because right now there’s probably a ton of untagged mobile photos getting posted. Those are lost opportunities for engagement because when you get notified that you’ve been tagged in a photo, you probably visit Facebook immediately to check it. These tags also help Facebook understand who a photo is relevant to, so it can feature it in the news feeds of your closest friends.

Face.com’s blog post about the acquisition included a big shout out to third-party developers. “We love you guys, and the plan is to continue to support our developer community.” Facebook could create some sort of API or otherwise allow app developers to build in Face.com’s facial recognition…as long as they integrated with Facebook and let users share content back to it.

The $1 billion Instagram purchase made it obvious that Facebook sees mobile photos and the communities that share them as critical to its future. Once that acquisition closes, Facebook could even port Face.com’s facial recognition to Instagram.

With Instagram and Facebook Camera on the front end and Face.com on the back, Mark Zuckerberg has the arsenal he needs to win the war for mobile photos.
